we headed out to a local farm on saturday and picked some pumpkins! it was pretty cool! they had a whole area for the kids to play in, with a straw maze and corn-box (corn kernels not sand). plus they had these big inflatables, a caterpillar slide, a pumpkin jumpy-blowing thing, and a 'haunted' maze. the maze was cool, joe and i couldn't resist going in ourselves, and it was pretty fun (not to mention a little hot in there since it was totally enclosed and almost 80 degress that day with LOTS of sunshine!).
we took the tractor pulled hayride to the field where we spent a good amount of time for each of us to find a 'perfect' pumpkin. then hauled all 4 back to the hayride and into the barn. we even enjoyed a picnic lunch and looked around their little shop and farmers market.

can't believe you guys moved to powell two years after we moved away - talk about lousy timing!! :(
but glad to see you are enjoying it there - it was such a wonderful community - and we are definitely missing the 20 minute drive to the temple - we're back to 3 hours again :( but upstate NY has its charms, too - just wish our time in powell could have overlapped a bit with yours - miss you - tracie & rick
