we headed out to the geauga county maple festival in the chardon square this year. it was nice day, albeit a little cold, but we went early for the pancake breakfast (which we won't do in the future cause it was kind of a rip off :/ ) but we did have fun getting a fresh maple stir and going on some rides. we even played on the playground by the square for a long time and collected a bunch of recyclables that were littered there. we brought them back to the booths, where a garbage company had a display with recycle bags that we filled up! they were very impressed that the kids cleaned up the playground!
jess did this bouncer. then jonny and i some jousting. i'm not the kind of mom to take it easy on my kids just to make them feel good. i totally beat him!
he bought this rubber band gun from a local maker. the whole rest of the time though, we was crawling on the ground picking up rubber bands that other people had dropped! and remarkably, it hasn't been taken away yet for shooting anyone!
the ferris wheel. i think jessy was more excited than jonny, but she couldn't go by herself; he's a good brother!
