science center

we took a trip to the great lakes science center with aunt sumi on a really HOT day! we were happy to be indoors and explore the new space exhibit. we also saw some really disgusting microscopic critters that live in the lake water in the harbor area outside of the museum. it really makes you think twice about swimming in lake erie, it's just that 'eerie!'. matt met up with us in time to go on the mather.


we are always happy to see the steps the science center is taking to help the environment like using wind and solar power to run the museum.


on the william g mather steam ship that's docked in the little harbor. it's a pretty cool tour, you get to see all the different parts of the ship from the engines and cargo to the kitchen and living quarters.


aren't they cute together?!?! especially in front of the city that they both love!


here is the main control room for the mather, and even though it's a museum and you know kids are going to touch everything, you ARE NOT ALLOWED! we've been yelled at every time we've gone, i kind of don't stop them from touching the obvious things that are not blocked off, because they should know that it will get pressed and fiddled with unless they put up a 'do not touch' sign or block it off
