Apollo-Skylab Command Module. you can see where the astronauts had to lay down and buckle in and all the buttons and gears that they had to know. it's the real one, so it's pretty cool!

we heard that NASA was closing their little museum area and moving all the exhibits to the great lakes science center, so we decided to see everything one more time at NASA, just the way it's been for the last 15 years or so.
the kids were pretty interested in all the exhibits, jonny even came prepared to ask a few questions about outer space. we got to watch a short little documentary about a shuttle docking with the international space station and doing repairs and things. mom and i thought it was pretty cool, but the kids got bored.
and no trip to NASA is complete without a little astronaut ice cream! it's absolutely a must buy! and it was a stinkin' hot day, so it was good that the ice cream didn't melt! yum!
