we were also really lucky to be able to sign up for swim lessons in new york. her town has free lessons for the kids, so who wouldn't sign up? and it was nice because the pool and playground are just behind her house (across the ravine), so we walked everyday and the boys rode bikes. the weather was pretty chilly the whole time, which kept the water temperature also very chilly, but all the kids did really good in their classes. it started warming up our last week, thank goodness because that's when the girls moved to the big pool from the baby pool, so jenni and i had to get in with them!
jonny and caleb couldn't stay in the water the whole 30 min, they were always getting out and wrapping in their towels. i can't say i blame them too much, after all, jonny is used to florida weather and warm pools year round, so this was a big shock! and jessy wouldn't swim like she was in florida either, too cold, she said.

jonny's got his goggles on swimming across the pool

getting ready to dive in

the girls in the baby pool doing a water song or something.

jessy freezing, but willing to smile for a picture
