jenni is on the community's historical society and they had an annual 'heritage days' festival. she was quite busy with the day's events and preparations, so the kids and i toured the booths by ourselves. it wasn't the most fun i'd had all summer, the kids were a little wild! we did spend about an hour on the playground towards the end of the day, and that was fun! i'm sorry i don't have any pictures of jenni in her costume, she performed for the crowds, on the fiddle and singing some 'olde time' music. she sounded great!
here are some civil war re-enactors. they were so cute! the kids went crazy every time their guns went off.
they each got a turn making rope! it kept them busy for a little while, but who decided to give 5 kids rope to play with? they were trying to lasso each other the rest of the day! oh well, serves me right for doing this first!
