one day we were able to head to the 'suburbs' to see my aunt and uncle and cousins. their town is so nice and there was a lot to look at and do as we walked around. we had a GREAT lunch at a mexican place, and walked along the river.

they had a good time on the playground. it was a sand base, with shovels and diggers and pulleys and stuff.


there was a sculpture garden along the walkway, and this one fascinated the kids. it's a kaleidoscope that looks into the plants. i'll admit it was really cool! the pot of flowers could spin so that the colors would change.

we stayed through the evening, the kids played in the sprinkler, we played corn hole, jonny and jessy totally exhausted their poor dog, and we ended with a fantastic cook-out! i'll have to grab a few more pictures of the whole gang from someone, and i'll get them up soon.
