as tradition goes, the kids were allowed to open one present before bed on christmas eve, followed by a rousing telling reading of the 'night before christmas' by daddy, then a treat plate for santa and the reindeer.
thankfully, my kids like to sleep in! so at around 8 o'clock, we had to convince them to wake up and go see what santa had left for them. they had a fun time tearing through the presents!
