HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSY!

so today's her birthday and we got it going princess style!  since she's totally into princesses, i decided to try my hand at a fancy cake.  (you need to understand that i haven't ever had a really successful cake before, but each time i try one, i think i'm getting a little better!)

so i started to work on this one, and even made a rolled fondant frosting for the billowing skirt!  all was going pretty well, the cakes baked without too many problems (but don't look inside the cakes, there are a few broken pieces frosted together!).  the fondant worked pretty good, after a few adjustments.  but i rolled it out too thin, thinking that it wouldn't be big enough to cover the whole cake; so it tore a bit on the transfer.  luckily, i had made some pretty pink accents and they covered up most of the problems.

all in all, jessy loved it!  she kept saying, 'it's so beautiful!'.  melts my heart!

so, about my little girl:

she's got her own mind!  will only wear a dress, usually won't even wear tights or socks!  she's so cute when she sings and dances, she's meant to be on a stage!  she loves her family, especially jonny.  she loves to read, and color, and play pretend, and watch tv.  she even still takes naps most days (that makes me happy!).  she's a great girl, full of energy, love, and sweetness!
