we love snow!

we got a major ice storm one night and the trees were just amazing glittering in the morning sunshine, i just couldn't help myself! the pictures don't do the wonders of nature justice! the whole area was just shimmering in the sunlight! needless to say it was ridiculously cold, but sometimes it's worth it for scenes like these!

on another day, we had a 'jackson family snow day'! we got so much snow at my moms house (where we were staying) but the school didn't get as much, so they had school. my car was nearly 100% covered, so there was no way i was going to dig it out in time. we had a fun day though, and i even got my workout by shoveling mom's drive into a huge pile and then hulling it out to make the coolest cave ever! it lasted only a few days, because we had a big warm up right after. that's cleveland for you!
