the show is really amazing to watch! the band does some great marching into different patterns and weaving between each other! jonny and jessy thought they were going to crash into each other a few times! but they never did!
then the silent riffle corp comes on and they do this stunning performance using their riffles and some with bayonets attached. and all without any verbal commands! they flip them through the air and catch them, and even toss them to each other! all you can hear is the clicking when their hands make contact with the guns as you watch them spin them and everything! it is so cool!
afterwards we get to go down on the field and talk with all the performers!

before the show starts, they have lots of booths and displays out. they always have a chin-up bar challenge out and i've always been too chicken to do it. but this year, i put my fear aside and took the challenge! it was a bent arm hand challenge, so i had to hold on with my arms bent at least 90 degrees for up to 90 seconds to win different prizes. it started off great, even with jonny teasing me and trying to grab my legs! then it got a little harder! i really wanted to make the top mark of 90 seconds, but my arms finally betrayed me at 80 seconds!! i was so close!!! i got a cool marine beanie for my efforts! i'll be ready in 2 years to go all the way!!
