also during everyone's visit in august, we went to the zoo. pretty typical zoo trip, saw some animals, ate some lunch, and did a lot of walking!!

i don't think you're actually supposed to touch the 100 year old tortoises, but when they are within kid arm reach, all bets are off. too bad they can't move fast enough to get away from the kids.
