power was in and out during church, and when we got home, our power was already out! so, i made space in the garage for the car (in case a tree decided to find it) and we hunkered down! jonny was a little 'concerned', and kept wanting to say prayers to help him feel better. i don't think jessy even noticed that things were different.
luckily, there was no damage to our home, yard, trees or anything! there was a lot of damage all around us, gutters, siding, trees, fences, garbage cans, everything!
but the power remained out even after the winds stopped, mostly cause they had sent all the extra power crews to texas. they said it could have been up to a week, but i guess we were on the lucky end of the estimates! not until after i had cooked all our beef and hot dogs on the grill all day. i was in the process of making meatloaves to somehow cook on the grill when the power came back!
so, we're thankful for electricity! and jessy can now watch her movies that she's been asking for for the last 24 hours!

I'm so happy to hear that you have power again. I have been thinking about you a lot since we talked yesterday and wondering how things were going! You need to get a webcam so we can talk over skype!
wow... i'm glad you got power back! Mine flickered in and out through the evening, sending the dogs into panic... but thankfully we ended with everything working. my poor friends who live down the street don't have power and probably wont until sunday!!
