maritime museum

sunday after church we headed to the san diego bay to see the ships in the maritime museum. the first one we went into was the soviet b-39 attack submarine. the kids liked going through the small watertight doors. they had fun pretending with the gears and wheels.




we also went on the hms surprise from the movie master and commander. it was pretty cool. there was also the star of india, the californian, and the berkeley. they each had cool things about them, different sleeping arraingements, kitchens, stairs, doors, things like that. but from the pictures, i can't tell them apart now. i guess that's why i should upload them right away, instead of waiting a week and a half!






we even got to see a REAL pirate!!! he gave jonny some loot!
