CALIFORNIA! WAHOO!

so we made it to san diego! the flight was a little rough, we were delayed a hour and a half, but the kids were doing really good! i was a little stressed out traveling alone with the kids, but everything worked out! they didn't fall asleep for like 2 hours on the plane, and then of course, i couldn't get comfy for our red-eye flight! but we all sleept very well once in elisa's apt and have been having fun since!

yesterday we went to a cool beach in la jolla with really big waves! jessy wasn't so sure about the water yesterday, but warmed up to it today. we went as the tide was coming in so the beach was slowly being pushed back into the rocks! so we just played on the rocks instead. jonny and i found a cool cave where the waves splashed into. and we found some tide pools with crabs and snails!

today we went to a beach party with some of elisa's friends from church. they had rented kayaks and someone had a catamaran. the kids had a lot of fu, and so did we! jessy wasn't into the kayak at first, she would sream everytime i would start to paddle! but she warmed up to it and was even trying to paddle herself! and i guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree with jonny cause he kept wanting to get out of the kayak and float in the water with his life jacket!

the catamaran was lots of fun! we went all over the bay on coronado just south of the big bridge. it was a little cold, th water and wind together, but it was cool! when we got close to the beach, jonny wanted to jump out again and float, so i jumped off first, and then he said he was scared! but he came in and then jessy. it was a lot of fun!!
