to start off our festivities, we headed to the zoo for the annual 'noon' year's eve celebration. it wasn't too cold, mid 30's but slushy snow was falling most of the day. we didn't see too many animals, but had a fun time.

jessy was pretending to dig for bugs with the stick like the monkeys do in the animal hospital exhibit
they had an ice sculpture artist there making fun animal sculptures, i was so worried the kids would knock one down, but they were very gentle with them. this one is a koala in a tree.
hitching a ride
jonny was so excited for the loony toons marathon on tv, he woke up right before it started and watched several hours of cartoons on new year's day. he said in the afternoon that he was loony toon-ed out!

So cute. I can't believe how much they have grown up. I remember when you had Jonny. We will be sure to post up tonz of pictures from Japan. Hope all is well with you guys.
