last night for scriputres we were reading about ammon defending the kings flocks from the robbers where he cuts off the arms of the robbers that try to attack him. i was doing a very dramatic reading with hand gestures and everything, anything to keep their attention for the minute it takes to read the picture story. i could have sworn they weren't listening, until tonight...
after the missionaries left from having dinner, jonny and jessy were doing a little craft with scissors. jonny had 2 pair (dont know why) and jessy had one pair. jonny was trying to take jessy's away, and she yelled at him that she was going to cut his arms off! i couldn't believe it!
i told her we only cut off bad guys arms, so she asked if she could cut mine off cause i didn't let her do what she wanted to today (she's still a little sick and GRUMPY!). then i rephrased it and said that they only cut off arms in the scriptures.
i guess they were listening after all. i should be more careful of what i say!
