lake erie monsters!!!

yes, we saw them! all of them!! skating around in the Q arena, they are our local hockey team! natsumi got us tickets from work (thanks aunt sumi!), and we had so much fun! there was hardly anyone at the game, so we could move around and sit where ever we wanted, and they had fun things for the kids to do, like face painting and sign making. jonny thought he was going to be able to play when i told him we were going to a hockey game, but he still enjoyed learning how the game was played. and jess loved watching the cheerleaders with their shiny gold pom-poms. it was a really fun family night! just what we needed!


the Q arena. the kids made it onto the jumbo-tron a couple of times. the first time, we didn't realize we were on it, and the second time, we pointed it out to jess and she froze! she was dancing at her seat almost the whole time! they were pretty cute!

we won 3-2! here is one of the goals. every time we scored they had a super loud fog horn blast the arena for like 30 seconds! jess had me cover her ears because it was so loud!! the kids thought it was hilarious when a player was put in the penalty box for a 'time-out'.

jess was so tired by the end! here she's just being silly. we didn't even get home until 11 (on a school night)!! we had such a good time though, totally worth the exhaustion!
